Why We Do What We Do
BeneDana means "good giving"—from the Latin Bene (good) and Sanskrit Dana (giving). Founded by Jen Long, a designer with roots in toy design at Fisher-Price and Hasbro, BeneDana is a collaborative platform where art meets purpose.
We believe wearable art can change the world. Our bandanas are created by talented artists:
- Emma Lopes (Ocean Devotion)
- Jen Long (Love Labyrinth)
- Paul Everett (Fields & Furrows)
- SwampYankee Poster Artist Pete MacPhee (Protect North Atlantic Right Whales)
These artists collaborate with musicians and environmental projects to create pieces that raise awareness and funds for causes we care about.
Every purchase supports meaningful work:
- the Healthy Ocean Coalition
- Dorcas International
- The Outsider Collective
- the Rhode Island Folk Festival
When you wear BeneDana, you're not just wearing art—you're wearing a commitment to a better world.
